Alkaline Water Rice Dumpling

Alkaline Water Zongzi is one of the most traditional Cantonese sweet dumplings. Made with glutinous rice and alkaline water, it's steamed to a golden, translucent finish. The texture is soft, chewy, and satisfyingly bouncy, with a subtle aroma from the alkaline water. Typically served with sugar or syrup, it’s light, gently sweet, and never too rich.
